Robert obviously loves Tasmania and this shows in the enjoyment he brings guests on the tour. The whole tour was well planned, I saw sites I will never forget and along the way I was educated about the environment. Robert never drives more than an hour or so without stopping with something for us to view. The days were well paced and it's so not about just driving around. If you want to see a lot of Tassie in a week then this is a tour I would highly recommend you consider.
Thanks Colleen January 2017
Dear Mel,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how fabulous our recent 5 day tour of Tasmania was. I know we made a late booking which caused all sorts of logistical issues but our family really appreciated you bringing all the flights, tour and accommodation together to make our family holiday one to remember.

PS, the Cadbury Chocolate factory was one of the kids highlights!

Thanks again,
Penny January 2017
Hi Andrew,

I was most impressed with our bus trip. I found the director on the bus excellent and the bus driver also.
Accommodation was very good also the meals.
I enjoyed Strachan and the Gordon River cruise best. Also enjoyed Launceston.
I found the reservation staff excellent.
Only fault on the trip was the bus steps were too big for someone my age . Should have had a small step at the bottom but was told that was not allowed any more.

Kind regards
Pat Angus

We really enjoyed our trip around Tasmania. Our guide Carolyn was very chatty and knowledgeable and made the tour very pleasurable, and we enjoyed the company of the other members of the group. Our drivers were also very friendly and competent. It was interesting to see the penal colonies and learn about the history of the island.
We would recommend the trip to others.
Best wishes

My tour was great. At 81 it was the first time that I had undertaken such a tour and that on my own.
Accommodation was fine. and great food at Strahan. Loved the Gordon river and the Wall near Lake St Clair - all was over and above my expectations.
The driving and commentary by Brett was outstanding, he loves his country and Kim was unfailingly efficient and cheerful.
best wishes
Michael

November 2016
We only had a short window of time to visit Tasmania and our 7 day tour fitted perfect with other travel plans. The staff were great and the people we met on tour were very nice. My family needed 3 single beds and this was accommodated for on the tour without any issues. The food at the stops was also very nice in keeping with local Tasmania meals which is one of the things Tasmania is now known for. Much thanks to the coach driver for his very informative briefings as we were going along. Overall a great tour.

November 2016
We very much enjoyed our Tasmanian Tour and found it very interesting and informative. The coach was brand sparkling new and very comfortable! We were all careful to wipe our feet before we got on! The transfers to/from Hobart airport were efficient and the hotels were, in the main, very good.
Overall we were very pleased with the whole trip - your website and booking procedures were good, and our experience of Tasmania was also gret. My only disappointment was that the optional excursion to see Tasmanian Devils was not available until the week after so I never got to see them! The penguins in Bicheno did make up for it though!
Thank you to everyone at Tasmania Tours for your efficiency and helpfulness.
Best wishes, Sue & John

“I joined the Tasmania 4 days tour in March 14 from Launceston to Hobart. For a short break, four days was absolutely the right choice due to the tour itinerary was perfectly planned by Tasmania Tours. Added on top, the tour guide and driver were excellent giving us a lot of information along the way that we would have never known and gave us a better appreciation of our Tassie.

I would highly recommend Tasmania Tours to everyone and not to mention the Staff there are so attentive to my enquiries & requests when I did the reservation.”

Hi Birgit,

Your fantastic tour of the island certainly ticked all the boxes for me. The accommodation was first class. Always very clean and fresh on arrival and on a two day stay. The food was all it should be for hungry people after a day on the trot. I liked the buffet style as you could eat as much or as little as you wished. The breakfasts certainly set us up for a strenuous day’s outing.

Our guide Carolyn was an unbelievable fount of knowledge. As we moved from place to place she was able to give us relevant information at each stop. I was amazed at the variety of destinations and although not very mobile I never felt left out as one could walk only as far as one was capable. Carolyn and the rest of the company were very helpful when boarding the bus as the steps were a bit steep for me.

The places I liked best were the forests , cradle Mountain and the cruise on Gordon River. They reminded me of my native Scotland.I admired the skill of our driver, Mark who got us safely and comfortably from place to place.

All in all, very good value for money and well worth a flight from the U.K.

Thanks for all the lovely memories .

Bet Doig.

It was certainly a very good travel experience we had with your organised group tour, and we certainly would recommend it to our friends. We have travelled widely overseas but this is the first time we have
joined a fully escorted coach tour within Australia (having lived in Aus for 37 years - shame! shame!!). We are very happy with the service, planning, organisation, efficient and friendly manner in which the entire tour was conducted.
No complaints. Well done.

March 2016
Where do you get your staff from??? Firstly, the contact person we had
was absolutely superb throughout the booking process.
Secondly: The tour director and driver were both exceptional, both in ability and knowledge. You could not ask for a better pairing.
Thirdly: The standard of the local guides was also exceptional, even with the last minute changes to the itinerary due to the bushfires where we ended up at "the end of the world". It was really awe inspiring.

Hi Tammy,

We enjoyed the touring very much. I certainly didn’t have any issues with using your website to view the available tours and make a selection.

The highlight of the tour for us was the penguins at Bicheno. Our tour guide there, was exceptional. Another highlight was our tour guide at Sarah Island. She was very good and made the place come alive.

The bus was very clean and well looked after and our driver was a very good coach driver. We felt safe at all times.

Hi Tammy
I had a lovely time in Tassie. Our tour was very well organised, all accommodation was first class, and our tour guide was brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble for him. The choice of venues was varied and interesting, and we saw so much of the fabulous countryside and coastline, absolutely beautiful!!! The people were friendly, and all in all I had a fabulous time. Four days of being organised was enough for me but having the extra couple of days was great!!!

Many thanks

Cheers Jane

Hi Tammy

Our Tasmanian tour was very enjoyable.

In relation to the booking of the tour, the assistance provided by the Reservation staff was truly 100% and their response to queries was professional and prompt.

We were very happy that the additional accommodation and transfers were organised for us, so we had to basely just turn up. It is definitely the best way to see the sights of Tasmania.

Kind regards

Lina

G, Day. We enjoyed the tour. Good bus. Excellent bus driver and tour guide.
Good accommodation and meals.
Will definitely recommend it to our friends.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

Dear Mel,

I just wanted to drop a quick email to you saying a big thank you for organising our trip to Tasmania.
Even though we booked on short notice you managed to find a tour that we could see all the "must see" places, the 10 day tour was just right.

Our coach driver and hostess were amazing, nothing was a problem and we had many laughs as well as gaining an education.
The motels were clean and quiet but the food definitely stands out on the tour as it was delicious at every place we stopped. No wonder Tasmania has a reputation for great local produce.

We've already told lots of friends that they must visit Tasmania, it was a wonderful place and tour.

All the best
John Miles

Hi Tammy,
Thanks for your email…..yes, we really loved Tasmania. A very pretty island and we got to see such a lot of it because of great time management of the daylight hours.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our Tassie tour.

Hi Tammy

My wife and I had a wonderful tour of Tasmania thanks to the professional and attentive service of our tour director and the coach captain. They were a great team and deserve to be congratulated, I was constantly amazed by their knowledge of the history and their broad local knowledge of the areas we traveled through and to. The itinerary was fantastic with a good balance of travel, points of interest and overnight stops. Tasmania is a beautiful destination.

Please pass on our sincere thanks.

Regards

Hello Tammy
It was really wonderful, enjoyed every minute. Tasmania is such a beautiful place. Everyone was very friendly on our tour so that helped. The important thing was that we got to see all the places we wanted. Maybe a smaller group would have had more flexibility on timings etc. The highlight was the Gordon River River cruise, but then we were so lucky with the weather.

Dear Mel,

Marie and I genuinely enjoyed our Tasmania Tour, if we had any complaints it was to do with the twisting roads through the hills especially from Hobart to Queenstown, how they ever built road in that kind of country is quite amazing really, however that is nothing to do with the organisation of the tour, the accommodation and the coach driver, guide and all of the reservation staff etc. which we found no fault with.
However if I had to mention any improvement, and this is quite minor really, it would be that on occasions the tour guide did not always tell us the likely journey time to the next destination. Perhaps that fact could be improved upon, but that said all in all a great tour, really well done. I had been planning for some time now to visit Tasmania mainly because I had heard great comments from friends about what a fine place it was to visit and how friendly the people living there were, and we found this to be entirely true and we would like to return one day.

With best regards
Gerald & Marie Cheek

July 2015

The 11 Day Tour to Tasmania includes the Ship costs one way.

No tours include a trip to Bruny Island, however many people add this on as a day trip from Hobart either before or are after their multi day tour.

Airfares to and from Tasmania at the start and finish of your tours are extra.

Yes - this is one of our most popular and busiest times

If you are doing a 4 day tour commencing on April 8th, the first day of the tour is and includes the 8th, plus 9th, plus 10th plus 11th and the tour ends on April 11.

Please refer to your specific tour and look in the "Trip Notes" information where it may state this: You need to arrive any time the day prior to Day 1. If this is the case we can organise airport pick up and pre tour accommodation on your behalf, this will be an extra cost.

Other tours start late in the day on Day 1 so you can arrive that morning which will avoid the extra nights accommodation cost.

Please refer to the "Trip Notes" information for your specific tour which will explain this further.

The pick up is at the "before tour accommodation" hotel listed in the TRIP NOTES tabs of the specific tour you are looking at.

Due to our off season of winter, no Tasmania tours operate during the months of June, July or August. The season starts in September and ends in May each year.

There are two Public Bus companies that operate between Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and other places inside Tasmania. You can see these here: Redline Coach and Tassie Link. Redline Coach also does airport to hotel transfers.

Yes, Tasmania tours passengers range from children to adult who are 90 years of age.
